Object description :

"In Honor Of Horses, Circa 1820, Pair Of Green Bristol Crystal Vases, Good Condition"
Remarkable pair of Soliflore vases, oversized cones ending in a cut-out corolla, from green Bristol crystal, cut with flat ribs and grains of rice, firmly set in their heavy bronze bases with a square base.
These bases are real works of art: the two are engraved, on the lower edge of 4 riding scenes, hunting, carriages, competition, the horizontal base of four spandrels: paces, dressage... That's all simply superb.
Dimensions: h:48cm, bronze base: 14cm, top of the vase: diam 17cm. Weight: each vase: 2.8 kg.
Condition: Good condition, glass is intact (it's incredible), no flaws, minor wear, various scratches for 200 years.
Work from the United Kingdom, early 19th century.
