Letter Holder Or Mail Sorter From The Napoleon III Era, 19th Century.
An elegant letter holder made of hardened wood (or gutta-percha) and ebonized wood, typical of the Napoleon III period (circa 1860–1865). It is in good condition, though it shows signs of use consistent with its 160-year age. It is perfectly functional for use on a desk or entryway console and looks very chic. The decorative section was hot-molded and mounted onto a wooden core. Dimensions: 34 x 14 x 20 cm. Shipping available to any location; please contact us for details.
