Large plaster bust on pedestal representing Hermes.
Around 1900.
Very nice work in good condition.
Based on the ancient Greek statue discovered in 1877 in the ruins of the Temple of Hera at Olympia.
Traditionally attributed to Praxiteles (4th century BC) it is on display at the Archaeological Museum of Olympia.
