Irénée ROCHARD (1906-1984) Naturalist bronze sculpture representing two kids playing entitled:
"The fight of the kids"
Paris circa 1930
Bronze with nuanced green patina, signed "I. Rochard" on the base.
Sculpture in perfect condition.
Black marble base with minor wear.
Height 30 cm x W 38 cm
Irénée Félix René Rochard (France, 1906-1984)
From 1924 to 1928, he studied at the Beaux-Arts and Decorative Arts schools, then became a member of the Société nationale des beaux-arts, close to other animal sculptors, such as François Pompon and Édouard-Marcel Sandoz.
A large part of Irénée Rochard's works were purchased by the city of Paris and that of New York.
