Bronze with nuanced green patina, signed "I. Rochard" on the base.
Sculpture in perfect condition.
Black marble base with minor wear.

Irénée Félix René Rochard (France, 1906-1984)
From 1924 to 1928, he studied at the Beaux-Arts and Decorative Arts schools, then became a member of the Société nationale des beaux-arts, close to other animal sculptors, such as François Pompon and Édouard-Marcel Sandoz.
A large part of Irénée Rochard's works were purchased by the city of Paris and that of New York.
