"Provençal Hollow Foot Lamp, Blown Glass, Rare 19th Century Model"
A somewhat rare lamp, excellent condition.
It is one large oil night light, "Provençale", (in our region they are called viholos or violes), blown glass and worked with hot pliers, a rare model, with a simple hollow baluster column ending in wide foot , hemmed and ringed, open, oil tank is carried high, semi-spherical, flared neck-receptacle, glass handle with thumb rest.  Wick passed through an iron washer which centered it.
Beautiful lamp, good size, worthy of a fine collection.
: 25cm x 11.5cm.
Condition: superb, small imperfections on blowing, dust and scratches, no flaws.
