God of love in Roman mythology, the child is represented seated on a rock, looking at his fingers, head bowed. A wreath of roses decorates her wavy hair, which frames her caring, smiling baby face. Lightly clad in a drapery, the little deity holds her great bow to the ground, between her feet and the rock. The parterre is dressed in roses, foliage and vine leaves.
