19th Century India Stunning 19th century Indian tent or palace valance or panel. Very fine embroidery with polychrome floche silk thread with large borders of Indian flowers and undulating Mughal-type stems. Three large almond motifs in the center and spandrels at the corners, identical to the Indian 17th century. Very fine assorted trimming fringes and piece fully lined in brick red dyed cotton. In an exceptional state of conservation and color. Dimensions: 528 cm long by 91 cm high.
