Jean Hourregu E: "pinasses At The Arcachon Basin"

Jean Hourrègue (1925-1983): "Pinasses au Bassin d'Arcachon", watercolor 37 X 54 cm, mounted under "museum" glass in a gilded canvas marie-louise frame 50 X 68 cm. He was a pupil of Henri Hauterive, then at the Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux before joining the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris. His touch, quick and lively, fixes snapshots of the landscapes encountered during his many trips both in France and abroad, even if (luckily for us!), his native South-West always kept his favors, we offering views of the Landes, the Basque Country, the Pyrenees and, as here, the Basin and Cap-Ferret.
