"very Large Frame With Varnished Wood Molding"
France or the Netherlands, late 19th century : “Very large, molded, varnished wooden frame,” with wide molding of dark varnished wood (rosewood?) over a fir core, mounted semi-flat in the corners, 99 x 90 cm (viewing area), 102 x 92 cm (rebate), 124 x114 cm (overall), molding 12 cm.
Some “scuffs” and scratches.
This sumptuous frame will elegantly showcase an antique painting or even a largemodern drawing.
A skilled cabinetmaker will be able to disassemble it to fit your measurements.
We have a very large number of frames that I’m considering selling as a bulk lot.
No list, no photos—come see them in person and pick them up.
Feel free to ask us for photos or additional information via email or phone.
More photos and many other items are available at our store in Pau and on our Proantic website.
