Born in Paris in 1921, PierrePiot died in 1998 in the Gers region, where he had retired.After studying at the Beaux-Arts, he spent a number of years inVenice and Florence. A very independent figurative painter, he remainedremained faithful to a painting style that was out of fashion. Despite a weakness foroil, the artist experimented with all styles: pastel, Indian ink, gouacheink, gouache and red chalk.
His love of beauty led him to paintled him to paint silk scarves to make women more beautifulto make women more beautiful, or to draw fabric samples for thedesigners.
