Italian school of the 17th century: “Studies of goats”, oil on paper (lined) with irregular cutout 18 cm (small accidents). A photocopy of the back of the sheet is glued to the back of the frame, thus showing the cutout and an attractive attribution to Castiglione which can also be seen through transparency on the original sheet, but which does not hold up to study, the style being closer to that of Peter Roos known as Rosa da Tivoli (1655-1706) and the Roman artists under Flemish influence of the 17th century.
