I present to you this very decorative portrait of Leonardo, after his self-portrait in the Uffizi Gallery. Probably made in the thirties and forties. I had bought it in the 2000s with its original waxed oak stick. My client at the time had it reframed with a 19th century black and gold lacquered strip which reinforces the character of the work. I had the opportunity to buy back the work. What I rarely do. Well it's Leonard after all.
