Extremely Rare Old Karkin, 162 X 227 Cm, Wool On Hand-knotted Wool, Afghanistan, 19th Century

Don't look, very few people know these pieces from Afghanistan, the Karkin, are discreet and secret.
The only specialist to describe them is Erwin Ganz-Ruedin and still very few, the only ones who know them a little know the mountainous regions of Afghanistan.
This means that this type of carpet evoking small pieces of tiling is unknown, the colors of our model are those used, and the Karkin is no exception to the rule, red, orange, blue, white, brown.
It may seem crazy to think that the motif of the border represents (see detail photos) the bustard, the bird of joy and happiness, a large bird found in all the plains of Persia and Central Asia.
A major artifact, this very beautiful rug in two parts sewn in the center and its scattered fringe lengths is of museum quality and extremely rare.
Old nomadic work, it measures 162 cm by 227 cm without the fringes, i.e. 252 cm complete.
This rug has been professionally and environmentally cleaned.
