Pair of Louis XV style twisted sugar casters in sterling silver. They are fairly faithful historical replicas of the Louis XV period casters as they were manufactured in the princedom of Liège and its surroundings around 1760-70. They bear the hallmarks of the master goldsmith of the jewellers Altenloh in Brussels (two ostrich feathers) and the boutique mark of the jeweler Matelot in Liège. They date from the beginning of the twentieth century. Weight 220 grams 13 cm
