Very elegant Louis XV period coffee pot in solid silver. On the bottom of the body are struck the two hallmarks of the city of Tournai (crowned T and crowned Tower) for the vintage 1758. The master goldsmith's hallmark is listed but not identified. It is often described as a dog's head in a medallion. The coffee pot is quite heavy and robust as goldsmiths with the Tournai hallmark very often are. It weighs 1160 grams.
