"Lille 1757, Coffee Pot, Sébastien-joseph Pronnier, Solid Silver "
Very pretty and elegant tripod coffee pot from the Louis XV period with Lille hallmarks for the year 1757-1758. Master goldsmith hallmark of Sébastien Joseph Pronnier, admitted to the master at a fairly young age (19 years old) in 1737 and active as a goldsmith until 1773. The hallmarks are on the bottom of the body, in the lid and on each foot. This pretty coffee pot is smaller than most of the Lille production and measures 23 cm high for a weight of 700 grams. It is in perfect condition. Madame Nicole Cartier included a photo of it in her large catalog of Lille goldsmiths on page 666.
