The mask representing Buddha Miroku or "Buddha of the future", venerated in Korea and Japan since the 7th century AD. He is depicted wearing a characteristic hat. The artist has represented the serene face of the Buddha, with a typical lowered gaze, elongated ears, a jewel on the forehead and folds on the neck. Patinated bronze. Japan, Edo/Meiji period, 19th century. Length 26 cm, width 16.5 cm, depth 11.5 cm. Good condition, slight scratches on the patina. Free delivery in EU. !
