Object description :

"Old Kadjar Tea Tray In Chiseled Brass, Persia, Diameter 47 Cm, Sumptuous Persian Decor"
Large circular brass tea tray, engraved, chiseled all over.
A beautiful piece, due to its dimensions and the quality of the engravings, obviously made by hand, a special order no doubt, a museum piece for sure!
Fully decorated with scenes specific to the history of Persia, characters, birds, animals, intertwined in a multitude of intertwining plants and flowers .... The Kadjar dynasty or Kadjars (Qājār, Qadjar, Qajar, Persian: قاجار) is a Turkmen dynasty which reigned over Iran from 1786 to 1925.
The finesse of the carvings shows the dexterity of the Persian engravers.
A true masterpiece of oriental art!!! Kadjar art, Persia of the 20th century before 1925.
These marvelous coppers and brasses were under the Safavid or Kadjar dynasties, an eminent alternative to silver and they enjoyed the same status. These objects certainly lived on as the centerpieces of Persian homes.
