Pair Of Louis XVI Lacquered Cabriolet Armchairs, Late 18th Century Circa 1785
Pair of Louis XVI lacquered cabriolet armchairs, late 18th century circa 1785-90, covered with a blue silk.
The fluted baluster armrests are the productions of the end of the Louis XVI period on the eve of the Revolution which announce the Directoire style No stamp, but the elegance of the proportions and the quality of the finishes are the signature of a great Parisian seat maker.
Our seats are in excellent condition. Completely restored and re-upholstered in sky blue silk (canetillé).
NB in the coming weeks and months we are going to offer several seats covered with this silk, which makes an opportunity to constitute a matching set. A third identical armchair is available on request.
Width: 57cm
Back height: 88cm
Seat height: 40.5cm
Depth: 55cm
