Manufacture Honoré - Pair Of Vintage White And Gold Porcelain Flat-bottomed Bowls. Restored

A pair of dish covers, designed to keep food warm once served at the table. Made of white porcelain, with a solid handle gilded with fine gold. Our cloches are part of a multi-piece dinner service from the Manufacture Honoré, many of which bear the Manufacture Honoré signature. The cloches themselves are unsigned, but they share the same origin, quality, and handles as the vegetable dish and soup tureen, which are signed. Restoration period, circa 1825–1830.

The Honoré Manufactory, successor to Dagoty, was a Parisian porcelain manufacturer initially located on Boulevard Saint-Antoine, then on Boulevard des Poissonnières in Paris. Édouard Honoré had a workshop in Paris and, starting in 1824, transferred the production of unglazed porcelain to Champroux, in the Allier department, while retaining his Parisian workshop for decoration. Our platter dates from this period.

It is in excellent condition—over 200 years old and virtually as good as new. The gilding shows no wear, and there are no chips or cracks.
