Sèvres Porcelain sugar bowl, barrel shape, with lion's claw handles. Beautiful Egyptian-style decoration on a pink "hydrangea" background, featuringstylized lotus flowers on a white background, framed by gold fillets. In the center of the saucer, a rosette of stylized lotus flowersstylized lotus flowers. The cup and saucer bear the Manufacture de Sèvres mark on the back.the double L of Louis XVIII, the Fleur de Lys Royale and the numberand the number 21 for the year 1821. Gilded gilder's mark.gilder's mark.

Our service appears to be the original decoration, of which later variants with a polychrome flower frieze are known:
- the original dessert service described as "pink background with colored friezewhite zone" produced in 1822 and sold to Monsieur Holgan
.- the "light frieze pink background" service produced in 1826 for the comtede La Rochejaquelein, Auguste du Vergier de La Rochejaquelein
.- the "fond rose frise coloriée etc" service produced in 1831 for the composer Auber.

Our sugar bowl is in excellent condition, with no damage, vivid colors and fresh gilding. Firing crack inside.
