Brass Lantern, Style Louis XV, 19th Century
Impressive brass lantern square shape with cut corners, standing on 8 foot ball, door embossed brass with pierced decor, 7 other sections are fit with glasses, with cut contours. The top double bulb, held by eight brass buttons, is fully engraved and pierced. Two contorted brass tube allow ceiling mounting. (These are the remains of a mounting gaz 1880).
Meticulous Working, brassware of nineteenth century, it could almost pass for an antique lantern Louis XV Flamand. Dimensions: Height: 78cm, lantern: 50cm x 24cm.
