Beautiful object, chiseled and formerly tinned copper: a circular large tray with raised and gadrooned relief, with wide border decorated of rope and beads, origin Persia (Iran), Probably work from Isfahan, early 19th century.
Finely engraved central decoration of a monarch in majesty surrounded by a wide border enriched of rotating decoration, horsemen leading their beasts in one long circular race, animals are superb in liveliness, landscapes show trees and temples and palaces;
good size: 38cm, fineness of decorations and great care from craftsman.
No flaw, apart from wear of the original tin plating, because object has been used, no didtortion or significant shock
