Grand Cartel Eighteenth Signed Le Roy In Paris
Artist: Le Roy Paris
Important wall clock from the 18th century, Louis XV-Louis XVI transition period, circa 1770, in chased and gilded bronze decorated with a female mask and foliage, it is topped with an antique vase. The enameled dial is signed LE ROY in Paris and is set in a drapery flanked by acanthus leaves, it is animated by beautiful finely chased hands indicating the time in Roman and Arabic numerals. Original movement with wire suspension in very good working order. Dimensions: 92 cm high X 40 cm wide.
