Auguste Courcoux (1871 –1956):
An architect and artist, Auguste Courcoux was born in Lannion into a family of builders. Descended from a line of architects, he carried on a family tradition deeply rooted in Brittany.
His name is notably associated with several religious buildings in the Côtes-d’Armor department, including the Sainte-Anne Chapel in Trégastel and the Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde Chapel in Dahouët, Pléneuf-Val-André. He was also involved in the restoration of the Beaumanoir estate, for which he designed a new wing and outbuildings in the late 19th century.
