Suzanne Dechamps (1887-1950):
Suzanne Déchamps was born in Rouen. A French painter of still lifes, landscapes, and scenes of daily life, she was a student of Paul Eschbach.
Active primarily in the early 20th century, she belonged to a pictorial tradition focused on the observation of reality, while developing a personal style imbued with gentleness and poetry. Her work is distinguished by a harmonious palette, supple brushstrokes, and a particular attention to the interplay of light and atmosphere. Her works have been featured in numerous exhibitions and private collections. She was a member of the Salon des Artistes Français from 1934.
