Pair Of Tuscan Walnut Vis-à-vis Chairs With Carved Cherub, 19th Century
A unique pair of vis-à-vis armchairs in walnut, made in Tuscany in the 19th century. The two seats, placed side by side and facing each other, are joined together in a single structure. The contoured backrests are embellished with carved ornamental elements and two sculpted cherub heads. The turned legs and vertical support elements blend harmoniously with the undulating forms of the backrests. The seats are upholstered and covered in damask fabric.
