Renaissance Louis XIII-style Ceremonial Armchair, Throne With Leather Seat And Backrest, 19th Century,

A truly remarkable ceremonial armchair made of waxed natural wood.
With its extraordinary proportions, this exceptional chair rests on four straight legs with square cross-sections, each ending in a wide, molded foot.
The two front legs are connected by a magnificent, richly carved and openwork crossbar. It is adorned with a cartouche in the center.
The armrest supports are turned into balusters and support very wide, flattened armrests of exceptional width, allowing for the placement of various objects.
Two attractive consoles depicting grotesques connect the backrest to the armrests.
Both the seat and the backrest are upholstered in very thick leather and are in very good condition.
Please note: there is some minor wear, scratches, and small cracks, which are entirely normal and due to use.
The top of the backrest is adorned with two large, fluted bronze finials.
The leather sections are embellished with beautiful brass ornamentation featuring shells and rosettes.
This chair has a very sturdy frame.
It is an exceptional 19th-century piece.
