A very pretty white porcelain piece from Limoges depicting a hunting dog lying on a terrace. This beautiful porcelain was made by the Haviland factory in Limoges, based on a model by Jules Desbois (1851-1935), a renowned sculptor from the 1880s to 1910, a friend of Auguste Rodin, and a pastel artist in the last years of his life. Our statue bears the Haviland France mark impressed into the clay and under its base. It also bears the Desbois signature in relief on the back of the terrace (see photos).
