Exceptional Italian earthenware lamp base in the Urbino style, southern Italy. This baluster-shaped majolica piece on a pedestal is decorated with an antique scene on its front and a landscape of lakes and mountains on the back. It is adorned with two handles in the form of snakes supported by two mascarons. A high-quality piece, entirely hand-painted and made at the end of the 19th century.
