Trumeau
This 1940s trumeau is crafted in the Baroque style using walnut, maple, and rosewood.
The two-part structure rests on curved legs and features a rounded base. The lower section includes three drawers and a drop-down door. The upper section consists of two doors fitted with contoured mirrors that follow the curved profile of the piece. The top is finished with a scalloped cornice and a central shell-shaped carving. The back is closed with wooden planks.
The exterior surface, including the sides, features inlay work. The figurative motif depicts vases with floral arrangements, positioned on the front of the drop-down panel, on the drawers, and on the sides. These figures are framed by linear borders created by combining rosewood and maple. The drawer hardware is made of gilded metal, featuring leaf-motif handles and contoured keyholes.
