Small Cuban Mahogany Port Desk, Louis XV – 18th Century
Beautiful sloping desk in solid Cuban mahogany with two drawers on each side which are locked by a locking system from the inside in a secret cache. Below, a single drawer with identical handles, original lock, entry and original bronze key; all in working order. These drawers are surface-mounted with rounded edges. Above, a single panel flap with miter-cut panels on the sides. This extra thickness of the slightly rounded frame opens with an original key with original lock in working order and bronze entrance. It sits on support pulls on either side with brass lens knob. Inside we discover a tier composed of three drawers on each side with a bronze pull button.
