A very beautiful and imposing Renaissance-style chair with a high, steeply sloped backrest.
The seat rests on four turned baluster legs, connected by two side struts, one at the back, and one at the front that is richly carved and highly ornate.
The legs are finished with sturdy glides.
Both the seat and the backrest are upholstered in beautiful embossed leather and secured with large brass tacks.
The leather is in perfect condition and has a lovely patina.
The top of the rounded backrest is adorned with two brass finials.
