Pink Flamingos In The Style Of Abraham Habbah, Circa 1960–70
A set of six stylized birds crafted from antique silver-plated copper spoons and forks. The spoon bowls form the tapered bodies; the handles—bent or extended—form the necks, beaks, and legs. The birds are depicted in a variety of poses. This approach to repurposing everyday utensils evokes the world of Abraham Habbah (1927–1998), who, beginning in the 1960s, developed an art form based primarily on forks and spoons.
