Bauhaus-style Serving Table. Europe, 20th Century

An elegant Bauhaus-style serving table, made in Europe during the 20th century. This piece exemplifies the fundamental principles of European modernism, in which functionality, structural precision, and geometric purity form the foundations of the industrial design of the last century.

The design is based on the combination of a chrome-plated tubular steel frame and two rectangular black glass shelves. Its key architectural element is a wide circular ring that unifies the entire structure and gives it a striking visual identity. This fluid geometry interacts with the straight lines of the tabletops, creating a harmonious balance between movement and rationality.

Resting on casters, the chrome-plated tubular frame ensures great mobility while emphasizing the visual lightness of the piece. The contrast between the brilliance of polished chrome and the depth of black glass accentuates the composition’s graphic impact and reflects the aesthetic principles of the Bauhaus as well as the European Modernist Movement.

With its timeless elegance and functionality, this sideboard fits just as naturally into a modernist-style interior as it does into a contemporary setting. It stands as a remarkable example of furniture inspired by the key principles of modern design.

Dimensions: 82 × 52 × 39 cm.

Condition: Good condition, showing signs of age and wear consistent with its era. The chrome frame and black glass shelves are well-preserved. Slight signs of wear are visible but do not affect the stability, functionality, or aesthetic qualities of the piece.
