Pair Of Prints From The *complete Almanac For The Year 1789*, Hand-colored
A very rare and charming complete set comprising the Wall Almanac for the Year 1789, spread across two frames.
Presented under glass in a beautiful pair of matching, molded, and gilded Louis XVI-style frames (from a later period, 20th century). A refined two-tone mat with pastel blue and cream borders elegantly highlights the freshness of the engravings.
Condition:
In good overall condition. The watercolor hues have retained remarkable vibrancy. Slight foxing and sun fading typical of 18th-century paper (not examined outside the frames).
- The first frame features the first half of the year (January through June).
- The second frame features the second half of the year (July through December).
