Carved Stone Gothic Lintel – 13th Century
An ancient architectural element carved from stone, attributed to the 13th century, the Gothic period.
The main face features remarkable carved decoration consisting of a trefoil motif and three rosettes in relief. The piece as a whole attests to the craftsmanship of medieval artisans and is of great architectural and decorative interest.
The stone retains a beautiful antique patina, with traces of carving, irregularities, and signs of wear that bear witness to its history. The reverse side has a worked surface, while the sides and ends retain their rough, irregular appearance.
The lower edge has two circular holes, likely related to a former fastening or assembly system. Their exact function remains to be determined.
