Lorraine-style Dresser Made Of Oak, Walnut, And Poplar—remiremont Region, Early 19th Century

A magnificent regional dresser from the Remiremont area in the Vosges, dating from the first half of the 19th century. It is distinguished by a beautiful combination of wood species and period ironwork, representative of Lorraine craftsmanship.

The piece consists of two parts:

Lower section (low sideboard): Frame and doors made of solid oak. It opens at the base with a row of two walnut drawers featuring their original iron handles, surmounting two doors with molded panels.

Upper section (sideboard): Crafted from walnut, the sideboard features three molded shelves for plates. The back is made of original vertical poplar paneling.

Fully treated with Xylophène for both preventive and curative purposes.

Carefully waxed finish on both the exterior and interior, revealing a warm, clean, and healthy patina throughout the entire piece.
