Deluxe Moka Set For Six People. Meissen. 20th Century
A sumptuous mocha set from the famous Meissen porcelain manufactory, crafted in the 20th century in the elegant “B” shape. The set is designed for six people and includes 21 pieces: a mocha pot with its lid, a milk jug, a sugar bowl with its lid, six mocha cups, six saucers, and six dessert plates.
The pieces are crafted from very high-quality white porcelain and richly adorned with a relief design entirely highlighted in gold, characteristic of Meissen’s finest creations. The exuberant Rococo-inspired design, composed of openwork cartouches, seashells, acanthus scrolls, and undulating garlands, contrasts elegantly with the immaculate whiteness of the porcelain, highlighting its nobility and the purity of its material. All contours are outlined with a finely applied gold fillet, while the handles of the coffee pot, milk jug, and cups are entirely gilded.
The “B” form ranks among Meissen’s most iconic historical designs. It is distinguished by supple, harmoniously curved lines, refined proportions, and remarkable sculptural quality. Thanks to the perfect balance between the form and the abundant gilded relief decoration, this set is a remarkable example of prestigious 20th-century European porcelain, intended for reception tables and formal interiors.
