The painting *Crimean Landscape* is the work of Vladimir Konstantinovich Yanovsky (1876–1966), nicknamed “the master of the sun-drenched palette” for his talent in capturing southern light. His art combines Russian realism and European Impressionism, resulting in luminous and vibrant compositions.

The scene depicts an old Tatar street in Bakhchisaray (in the style of Gasprinski Street), bathed in sunlight and bustling with life. The white stone houses, Oriental architecture, and scenes of daily life come together to form a harmonious whole. In the background rises the tabular mountain of Tepe-Kermen, located southeast of the city, which lends the composition a distinctive scenic accent.

Yanovsky uses a light touch and a saturated palette, creating effects of shimmering air and luminous reflections. The refined half-tones add depth to the space and reinforce the atmospheric perspective. The work belongs to the artist’s mature period, characterized by clarity and expressiveness. These paintings rarely appear on the art market and are highly sought after by collectors.
