Pair Of Cut Crystal Wine Decanters With Silver Base, Germany.
An elegant pair of wine decanters made of clear, cut crystal, adorned with faceted diamond-cut and ray-patterned decorations, set in artistic silver mounts. The disc-shaped bodies are decorated with a complex geometric pattern forming radial star-shaped compositions that create an expressive play of light on the surface of the crystal.
The silver mounts are distinguished by their meticulously crafted decorative design. Each features a shaped neck with a hinged lid, an elegant spout, and a decorative curved handle with scrollwork elements. The interior surfaces, as well as certain exterior elements of the silver mounts, are gilded, creating a decorative contrast with the transparent crystal.
A wide, openwork silver band runs around the bodies, adorned with a relief design of stylized flowers and foliage. The decanters rest on circular bases decorated with an engraved band. The combination of solid cut crystal and finely crafted silver lends the set a ceremonial character and makes it a striking centerpiece for the table.
