Large Mirrored Sideboard With Floral Marquetry And Sea-green Marble – St. Renaissance

A magnificent and imposing mirrored sideboard in the Renaissance style, dating from the second half of the 19th century, circa 1860–1880.

This piece, of fine cabinetmaking quality, stands out for the richness of its marquetry decoration, its generous proportions, and the elegance of its design.

The lower section opens with three doors with molded panels, adorned with remarkable floral compositions in wood marquetry made from various wood species, depicting vases filled with flowers, foliage, and arabesques.

The middle section features three drawers, also decorated with inlaid foliage and floral motifs, separated by carved elements featuring mascarons.

The side panels feature relief carvings, accompanied by delicate inlays of light-colored wood.

The piece is topped by a beautiful sea-green marble top, set within a molded wooden frame.

The upper section consists of a large rectangular mirror, framed by carved and inlaid side panels, surmounted by a wide, overhanging cornice.
