Large carved Normandy armoire - Louis XV period - 18th century
Beautiful and imposing Normandy armoire in richly carved solid oak, from the regional Louis XV period, featuring a very fine work of floral decoration and moldings.
It opens with two large doors adorned with carved panels, with:
- decorations of bouquets and musical instruments,
- curved crosspieces,
- important brass handles,
- finely worked molded cornice.
The top is decorated with an elegant floral basket surrounded by bunches of grapes and carved doves, typical of Norman wedding furniture.
The curved front and snail feet give it plenty of elegance and character.
