Soviet Entomological Collection

An interesting educational entomological collection from the Soviet era, dedicated to insect pests affecting vegetable crops. The set includes eight small display cases containing entomological specimens and dried plant material, accompanied by identification labels. The collection was produced in Moscow by Factory No. 14, "Priroda i Shkola" (Nature and School)—a manufacturer specializing in educational materials—as indicated on the original cardboard packaging. The set documents various insect species considered harmful to agricultural crops, including the mole cricket, the Colorado potato beetle, aphids, and beetles associated with vegetable plants. Each specimen is presented in a small individual case, reflecting the educational approach used in biology teaching materials of the time.
