By Tiziano Vecellio (1488/1490–1576) – Girl With A Tray Of Fruit – Oil On Canvas, 19th Century
An elegant 19th-century oil painting on canvas, of refined artistic quality, depicting a young woman in Renaissance attire holding a tray filled with fruit and flowers. The work is based on the famous composition by Titian Vecellio, created around the mid-16th century and housed at the Gemäldegalerie in Berlin, traditionally identified as Lavinia, daughter of the great Venetian master. The figure stands out for the delicacy of her skin tones, the intensity of her gaze, and the richness of her embroidered gown in shades of gold and bronze, embellished with jewels and pearls. In the background, an evocative mountainous landscape unfolds. The painting is set within an important 19th-century gilded stucco frame, richly decorated with fluted moldings, plant motifs, and elaborate corner ornaments in relief.
