An elegant silver vase-casket crafted in the shape of a gently cinched purse. The body, delicately modeled with rounded forms and soft folds, creates a remarkable illusion of fabric and features an expressive silhouette characteristic of Russian Art Nouveau.

The neck appears to be held in place by a loosely knotted ribbon. A rose in relief, accompanied by foliage, is harmoniously integrated into the knot; its naturalistic modeling offers a refined contrast to the smooth surface of the body. The asymmetrical composition of the floral decoration, the fluidity of the lines, and the impression of movement lend this work a remarkable decorative quality.

The evocative image of this purse tied with a ribbon combines practical function with the artistic ingenuity of early 20th-century Moscow silversmiths. This piece could have been used as a small candy dish, a table container, or a decorative box for storing small precious objects.
