A rare collector’s item wall panel created based on an original design by Victor Vasarely (1906–1997) for the prestigious German manufacturer Rosenthal as part of its iconic Studio Linie program. Produced in the early 1970s in a strictly limited edition, this work is one of the most remarkable examples of the collaboration between leading figures of the European avant-garde and industrial design in the second half of the 20th century.

The composition consists of twenty-five independent porcelain modules, each measuring approximately 9.8 × 9.8 cm, assembled within their original stainless steel frame. Each element develops its own distinct visual language, alternating between convex and concave circles, flat surfaces, and geometric reliefs within a perfectly executed, architecturally structured composition.

The vibrant color palette—comprising deep blues, scarlet reds, purples, turquoises, emerald greens, oranges, and azure blues—fully expresses Victor Vasarely’s characteristic visual language. A white disk set against a black field forms the visual and conceptual center of the work, deliberately breaking the mathematical order of the whole.

Unlike a traditional geometric design, this composition rejects any systematic repetition. No horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lines lead to a predictable interpretation. Depending on the viewer’s position, the angle of the light, and the movement of the gaze, the work seems to be constantly transforming. This interaction between visual perception and geometry constitutes the very foundation of Op Art, a movement of which Victor Vasarely remains the founding figure.

Numbered as one of only fifty authorized copies, this panel holds exceptional significance for collectors, situated at the intersection of fine art, architectural design, and industrial design.
