Antique-style Tripod Cup In Patinated Bronze, 19th Century.
A beautiful little bronze bowl with a medallion patina, crafted in the antique style, dating from the first half of the 19th century.
A very elegant design inspired by ancient braziers. The bowl is circular and deep; it is supported by three deer legs ending in ram’s heads; the underside is adorned with a lamp base decorated with acanthus leaves.....
This type of small bowl/tazza was intended to decorate a table centerpiece or a desk, where it often served as an incense burner.
The cast iron, chiseling, and patina are of very high quality, which—despite the absence of a mark—suggests an attribution to the Barbedienne House in Paris.
Note: Shipping to France is available via Colissimo with tracking and insured delivery upon signature: 20 euros. Shipping to other destinations available upon request.
