Rosalie Renaudin, Miniature, Portrait Of A Woman, 19th Century
A circular miniature set in a wooden frame with a gilded metal border. It depicts an elegant young woman wearing a flowing yellow dress adorned on the bodice with a small bouquet of forget-me-nots, which are also woven into her hair, styled in airy curls. A three-strand necklace and delicate earrings in shades of blue, matching the flowers, complete her ensemble. She poses in front of a purple-colored curtain with tassels that complements her complexion and opens onto a seascape featuring a sailboat.
Signed and dated “Mme Renaudin 1823” in the upper left corner.
