Edouard Hippolyte Margottet (1848-1887) was a French painter who specialized in landscapes and portraits. Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris under the tutelage of Isidore Pils, he exhibited at the Salon from 1869 until his untimely death in 1887.
Two restorations on the back of the canvas.
